i-me-ce
"i-me-ce" is a unique seating concept we developed by weaving together the discarded chairs from the Istanbul Manufacturers Bazaar (iMC), using surplus ropes employed for material transport. Our primary goal was to demonstrate the potential of repurposing discarded items into functional, environmentally friendly furniture for public spaces. We firmly believed that repairing and refurnishing broken items is a more sustainable approach than purchasing new ones, even if it demands certain skills. This project exemplified our commitment to sustainability and creative problem-solving.
